Galway City Ring Road Scheme Published

The planning application for the N6 Galway City Ring Road (GCRR) was submitted to An Bord Pleanála on 25th October and the period for public submissions is now open.

The planning application has two elements, 1) the application for the construction of the road scheme, being brought forward as a Strategic Infrastructure Development, and 2) the application for the compulsory purchase of the lands needed to construct the road.

Submissions must be made by 5.30pm on Friday 21st of December 2018, in writing to An Bord Pleanála. The N6 Galway City Ring Road 2018 is classed as “strategic infrastructure development” under the terms of the Planning and Development Acts 2000 to 2018. A fee of €50 must be paid in respect of any observations/submissions made to An Bord Pleanála in respect of any local authority strategic infrastructure development application.

(i) The Offices of Galway County Council, Áras an Chontae, Prospect Hill, Galway. Opening hours: Monday to Friday – 9am to 4pm

(ii) The Offices of Galway City Council, City Hall, College Road, Galway. Opening hours: Monday to Friday – 9am to 4pm

(iii) Galway City Centre Library, St. Augustine Street, Galway. Opening hours: Monday – 2pm to 5pm; Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday – 11am to 8pm; Friday & Saturday – 11am to 5pm

(iv) Westside Library, Seamus Quirke Road, Galway. Opening hours: Tuesday, Thursday & Friday – 11am to 5pm; Wednesday – 11am to 8pm; Saturday – 11am to 1pm & 2pm to 5pm

(v) Galway National Roads Project Office (Galway County Council), Corporate House, City East Business Park, Ballybrit, Galway. Opening hours: Monday to Friday – 9am to 4pm
