On 8 June, 24 experts will gather in Belfast to deliver their views on how the island will develop its renewable future and the opportunities that lie ahead for the emerging solar industry and its supply chain. Delegates will hear updates on policy, planning, technology, grid, finance, and legal aspects of development in both Northern and Southern Ireland.
Brian Keville, Environmental Director of McCarthy Keville O’Sullivan will deliver a paper on Planning Consents in the Irish Solar Sector, which will look at planning policy, a comparison of planning considerations between solar and other renewables and rural land-use developments and the applications already in the Irish planning system. The paper will also review current trends in planning application and possible future matters arising and the implications of recent wind-farm related court rulings on solar projects.
The conference takes place in The Hilton Belfast, commencing at 9:15am. Full details and registration is available via: http://solar-ireland.net
