Owen joined the company as an Environmental Engineer in October 2013 having completed a Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering at Queens University Belfast, following his primary degree in Construction Management.

Owen brings considerable experience having previously worked for a Belfast-based Environmental Consultancy and large-scale building and civil engineering contractors throughout Ireland. Owen has gained considerable experience in hydrology, renewable technologies, water & waterwater engineering, contaminated land and waste management. Owen previously worked as an Environmental Technician with Pentland MacDonald, an Environmental Consultancy specialising in contaminated land based in Belfast and as a Site Engineer with O'Malley Construction based in Co. Galway.

Since joining McCarthy Keville O’ Sullivan, Owen has worked on planning applications of several wind farm projects in counties Mayo, Galway, Clare and Cork. He has worked as a part of an Environmental Impact Report project team with responsibility for the planning of construction and environmental management, as well as the setup and implementation of environmental management systems during the construction phase of various projects. Owen has also gained experience in the environmental management and monitoring of EPA licensed facilities and the preparation of waste facility permit applications
