Laoise Kelly

Position: Ecologist
Qualifications: BSc Environmental Science (Hons) Degree 2010 National University of Ireland, Galway

Laoise graduated with a BSc in Environmental Science in 2010 from the National University of Ireland, Galway and is currently an Ecologist with McCarthy Keville O'Sullivan. With a good knowledge of Irish plant species and habitats, Laoise also has skills in freshwater invertebrate surveying and knowledge of native birds and mammals. Laoise has over 3 years experience in this field as she has worked in Ireland and the USA.

After her degree, Laoise became an International Conservation Intern in Nevada, USA, where she gained experience in forest thinning, habitat restoration and mountain beaver surveying. Before working with McCarthy Keville O'Sullivan Ltd, Laoise worked for the Waterford County Council in 2012 as a Water treatment plant, field and lab technician. She gained experience in the collection of water samples from the local water supply systems, rivers and streams, biological analysis of samples and chemical analysis of samples in the lab.
